Creative Roots CIC

Creative Roots (Plymouth) CIC is a not-for-profit organisation using art as a foundation to promote cohesion, inclusion, social justice, diversity and fight prejudice and we offer a safe space to be able to be yourself.
Teri, the founding director of Creative Roots, had the idea that creativity and the arts could unite communities by leveraging art as a platform to encourage inclusivity. Since organising art clubs in the city, Creative Roots CIC has grown. We are a small group of like-minded individuals who have started to support one another and the local community more.
Regardless of sexual orientation, nationality, age, gender, class, race, or disability, we think that everyone should have equal access to and representation in the arts, which should reflect the society in which we live.
Discrimination is unacceptable in our setting, which values and celebrates the creativity and brilliance of individuals from all walks of life. Art has the power to truly transform lives for the better and unite people from all walks of life in a spirit of celebration and cooperation. We make sure that the work we display reflects the values of integrity, passion, expertise, and dedication.
We take pride in our keen awareness of and commitment to diversity, regardless of sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, nationality, or creed; what unites us is our shared humanity.
We are a diverse group with difficulties ranging from physical and learning disabilities to sensory impairments. Our goal is to be able to engage with the community more and inspire others to enter a secure setting where they may flourish and thrive creatively.
